Are You Reaching Your Full Potential To Live The Life You Deserve?

There is no such thing as waking up one morning and having reached your full potential, it’s a journey, one which takes time and a conscious effort. Look at the different areas of your life, ask yourself if you are giving 100% in what needs to be done whether it’s trying to achieve something or taking time out to rest.

Achieving your full potential is a commitment you make to yourself. Here are a few ways you can reach your full potential and live the life you deserve.

Define the best version of yourself

Understand the person you are trying to become. What does the best version of yourself look like? Write down both your strengths and weaknesses, future accomplishments and goals you would like to have achieved and do, physical improvements on your health, defining what it is you feel called to do (your purpose) you can find this out by writing a list of things you are passionate about and could do/talk about for hours.

Identify your fears

Some of the obstacles stopping us from reaching our full potential are our own fears. This could be in the form of public speaking, showing your face on camera, expressing your authentic self. Once you start to work on breaking down those fears you open yourself up to bigger opportunities and discover a different side to yourself that you wouldn’t have known otherwise.

Set small goals

Chunking big goals down into smaller steps will make them much easier to achieve. Break your goals down into months, weeks and days then using the Daily Planner task yourself with an action plan of what you need to do to reach your full potential.

Practice discipline

You won’t know the full extent of your potential without discipline and sticking to habits and routines that help you to become successful. As long as you are enjoying what you do and gradually seeing positive progress, your persistence will eventually pay off.

Learning

Become obsessed with learning, read lots of books, listen to podcasts, go back to school, attend events, connect with industry professionals to further develop your skills. A learning attitude will help you to build your confidence and strengthen your talents.

Accept and embrace failure

Setbacks will always happen, they are inevitable especially when you set out o achieve something and reach your full potential. However, you can overcome this by changing the way you look at failure. Don’t take it personally, just because you failed at something doesn’t mean you are a failure. If you never failed at anything you wouldn’t know what you’re good at or what skills you need more work on.
