Luxury can have different meanings depending on your perspective. For some, luxury is having more time, while for others it may mean experiencing something luxurious. Personally, I consider it as making an extra effort, sometimes requiring both more money and time.

Regardless of what luxury means to you, we can't deny the positive feelings it brings. And what better time of the year to indulge in those feelings? Here are a few ways to add a touch of luxury to your life.

  1. Upgrade to a higher cabin on the plane, train or coach (sometimes the upgrade isn't too much more, look out for how to earn and spend air miles too)

  2. Stay at nice hotels when travelling abroad or staycations

  3. Dine at high end restaurants and cafes

  4. Visit beautiful spas and wellness centres with a friend

  5. Bring beauty to your environment and buy fresh cut flowers, scented candles candles etc.

  6. Use a wine glass for soft drinks

  7. Invest in high quality bedding, a new mattress, sheets, silk or satin pillow cases

  8. Buy new sets of pyjamas, a matching set. A beautiful silk print always makes me feel as though I tried before going to bed haha

  9. Wear a perfume to bed, you never know who you’re going to meet in your dreams

  10. Take time with your skincare routine. Cleanse, tone, mask, serum, ampoule, the full works

  11. Keep a quality lip balm close by, in your hand bag, on your bed side table.

  12. Splurge on a really nice perfume and place it in the centre of your dressing table (remember to keep it out of sunlight)
